I honestly enjoyed taking this class. We learned a few new techniques, and what we have learned in class I’m excited to use in the classroom some day. So for the past two weeks we learned about how to summarize a book review and screencast them into a video.
For my book review I read Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking. My book seemed a bit complicated. As I was reading the text I thought that the information was intriguing, but at the same time I felt that the book was all over the place. I was trying to relate the book to the class, technology wise.
For the last week we summarized three chapters of our class textbook; Project-Based Learning: Your field guide to real-world projects in the digital age. I found the three chapter very informative and I honestly I’m glad i’m learning about this now, but I also wish I learned about it during my elementary school years. Most of the methods we’ve learned in class seem far more interesting then any traditional class. In other words, the textbook is surely a guide that teachers can use for projects in the classroom. The textbook also gives a thorough list of things to avoid in a project and challenges students to view beyond the mirror glass.
